As an island nation, Jamaica has no land borders and is surrounded entirely by the Caribbean Sea. Its terrain is mountainous, with the Blue Mountains in the east, along with valleys, plateaus, and coastal plains. The island also features rivers, waterfalls, and a tropical climate.
